What do you do at Learning Consultants?
Learning
Consultants of St. Charles employs a group of consultants
who are experts in the educational and counseling fields. The agency opened
in 2000 and combines the services offered both by a learning center and
those provided by a counseling center.
The
group works with children and their families who have
learning disabilities, behavior disorders, autism spectrum disorders,
poor social skills, or other emotional needs.
Children with learning disabilities that are undiagnosed are often frustrated, depressed or have poor self esteem. The experts at Learning Consultants work together with the family, school and doctors when needed to provide a range of services to meet the needs of the "whole" child.
The
agency provides educational and behavioral testing for ADHD
and autism spectrum disorders, tutoring and study skills, individual and
family counseling, parent training and school consultation.
Our
most unique contribution to the field is our social motivational groups
which bring kids with social or self esteem problems together to work
as a team, make friends, and practice the skills they need to get along
in life.
